Statistics: You're Not Alone

- 1 out of 6 Americans between the ages of 35 and 54 has never been married. (About 15 million people, evenly split between men and women)

- In major cities, 40 percent of adults live alone. (the number hits 50 percent in Manhattan. The percentages are even higher in Scandinavian countries.)
